Companions,
The duties of the Provincial Grand Treasurer are relatively straight forward, I have two main responsibilities on behalf of the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter.
The overall duty the Provincial Grand Treasurer is tasked with is ensuring that the
P.G.R.A.C. Finances are accurate and up to date;
this includes all the
Chapters, Lodge & Councils and Cryptic Council’s annual dues to both
P.G.R.A.C. and S.G.R.A.C.. Also that they are being run in a financially
sound manner and to apprise the Provincial General Committee of any problems that might be apparent on the annual review of each
organisation’s accounts.
My next duty is to ensure that each Order has the full support of the P.G.R.A.C. in the preparing and reviewing its accounts for presentation.
With the above point in mind, I am only a phone call (or email) away. If you need assistance of any kind ask... we are here to help. We can only succeed in having strong Chapters, Lodge & Councils and Cryptic Councils if we unite in the bond of friendship and pool our Educational, Technical and Financial resources for the benefit of all.
We are aware and understand that very few of the Treasurers in the Province are from an accounting background, and are doing there very best within their own capabilities.
To this end the recent Seminar covered accounts, and supplied a general accounting template, that can easily be computer generated or handwritten. I feel that if this system is intergrated across the Province, not only my job, but that of Treasurer's everywhere will become much simpler.
A sample Excel spreadsheet is available on this site, it is free to use and can be manipulated to suit the needs of the individual Treasurer. Sample Spreadsheet.
Yours faithfully & fraternally
