Dear Companion,
Fraternal Greetings and Seasonal Greetings from the Grand Superintendent M.E.C. Sid Munro and his Office-Bearers of the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Aberdeenshire.
Firstly we would like to say a big thanks to all who attended and supported the 150th. Celebrations, a wonderful day enjoyed by the companions from the length and breadth of Scotland and even one from Barbados. The presence of the four local Provincial Grand Masters and the Substitute Grand Master Mason along with many Grand Superintendents just added to the occasion.
Following on closely behind was the Examination of Books by the P.G.C. teams, once again well attended but not 100% as we had wished and requested. We have learned again from this venture and the decision taken is that this is here to stay with a bit more fine tuning. In future we shall be adding in the payment at that time of the P.G.C. dues, and the issue of the Annual Certificate and shall be on a satisfactory books examination and all payments due having been made.
The Installation system has worked very well and we reported and paid all Annual Dues to S.G.C. by the 1st. November so once again well done and thanks. I can report to you that this Province is very nearly clear of all dues to S.G.C. with the exception of one Royal Arch Chapter and one Cryptic Council. And they know full well, so what happens about it from here depends on P.G.C. General Committee then S.G.C. if the need arises.
For those who have had their Annual visit cancelled due to the prevailing weather I shall be in touch shortly but it looks as though it could be March or April.
Yours sincerely and fraternally
Comp. Ian Ross
